Mongolia

Ukhaa Khudag to Gahuun Sukhait Railway Project

Provided project management services to the client who was developing the project under a concession agreement with the Mongolian Government. Scope of works included design management, preparation of integrated project schedule, preparation of detailed budget and cashflows, as well as procurement for all track related works and site supervision of civil works.

Philippines

Main Line South Revitalisation Project – Phase 2

Appointed by PNR as Main Contractor for the upgrading of the southern main line between Manila and Legaspi. Scope included provision of labour, materials  and equipment for sleeper replacement with PC sleepers, Thermit welding, re-ballasting, repairs and replacement of rail bridges, drainage and embankment works and installation of a new communication system.

Thailand

Track Rehabilitation Project – Phases 1 and 2

Client: State Railway of Thailand (SRT)

Technical advisers to the John Holland – Namprasert Joint Venture for the renewal of  600km of track and all the associated works including road-crossings, bridge  renewal, track lowering, embankment widening and deviations. Scope of work included providing equipment, methodology and key personnel to manage the project and key operators for machines in particular the new 'Pony Tracklaying Machine', Tamping Machines and Flashbutt welding machines.

Track Rehabilitation Project – Phase 5

Client: State Railway of Thailand (SRT)

Joint venture partners with Italian-Thai Development (ITD) and Eurovia Travaux Ferroviaires (ETF) in the ITD-ETF-MVM Joint Venture (IEMJV) for the renewal of 308km of existing track. IEMJV is sub-contracted by ITD to carry out all trackworks associated with the project, including procurement of rail, sleepers and ballast; provision of construction equipment; provision of personnel and supervision of the track construction and commissioning.

Taiwan

Taiwan High Speed Railway (T210, T220, T230 & T240) 2004

Client: Taiwan Shinkansen Trackwork Joint Venture (TSTJV)
Contract Value: $9.6 million
Completion: 2004

Specialist sub-contractor appointed by TSTJV to carry out all flashbutt welding over 330km of mainline double track, with design speed of 350kph. Total of approx. 47,000 welds were completed. Scope included provision of all welding machines, certified welding supervisions and operators, UT and mag particle testing of all welds and provision of all QC documentation.

Taiwan High Speed Railway (T210, T220, T230 & T240) 2005

Appointed by TSTJV to supervise and certify the de-stressing and final welding (3rd weld) of 330km of main line double track. Approx 1,300 de-stress thermit welds completed and certified.
